Today’s energiser is a tantaliser of your sense of smell. Like the others it’s quick to facilitate and reminds participants that we all approach the world in different ways. Here are 3 easy steps to run this:
1. Find some scents which you can bottle up and bring into workshops. Things like perfumes, fragrant oils, herbs and spices work.
2. Present them to learners in covered containers so they can’t see the contents
3. Ask them to guess what they are and describe what they remind them of.
People easily understand that we see and hear the world in different ways but we often forget that we smell the world in different ways to. This fun energiser further highlights the notion of individual differences. When using Team Management Profiles this can be used as an ice-breaker. Because to understand how we differ we can start by looking at work preferences!
