
FC Business Solutions is a highly experienced and vibrant TMS client in Melbourne who is always looking at how they can take TMS to the next level. Their most recent exploration was into the Team Performance Profile (TPP). And what better way to explore this than to experience the process themselves!
A few weeks ago the team went through a half day TPP debrief session. This was designed to provide an opportunity to reflect on current performance as a group and take steps to maintain and improve this. The other objective was to investigate how they can apply it themselves to help their own clients strategise to improve performance.
To begin with, the team engaged in a series of interactive and conversational activities including tearing up magazines to create a picturesque Types of Work Wheel, using flip chart paper to explore what the
different Types of Work mean for them and building towers out of limited resources.
different Types of Work mean for them and building towers out of limited resources. The second part of the session focused on handing back the Profiles, evaluating the results and planning action. To no surprise, the Profiles showed FC Business Solutions to be a high performing team. They were covering off on all facets of the nine key success areas which make up the Types of Work Wheel (the model underlying the TPP).
The best thing about the Profile was that even though it highlighted the team was doing everything right, it inspired conversations around how they can be even better. Never short of ideas and momentum to put these into practice, the team came up with new ways to sustain their high performance and make their clients even happier.
As a facilitator, it is always inspiring to work with organisations who are passionate and enthusiastic about what they do. I look forward to working with this team of professionals again soon.
